At The Hit Factor, our mission is to provide independent musicians with quality recordings at an
affordable price.
Technology can be a beautiful thing. It’s what allows us here at The Hit Factor to produce high quality
professional recordings that are affordable for an independent artist. We have a passion for helping the
musician on a budget create something they can be proud of.
We are a modest studio with modest equipment, but don’t let that fool you; our sound quality is top notch.
The rooms have been designed to provide the best possible acoustics for their sizes by minimizing modal
ringing and dampening unwanted reflections.
Our drum room allows us to utilize up to twelve mics on your kit as well as providing midi connectivity for
electronic kits or triggers. The main room is great for acoustic instruments and provides ten mic inputs and
midi connectivity for keyboards. The vocal/isolation booth is configured with two mic inputs for dual
micing your amp or doing a quick A/B test to determine the best mic for your voice.
The preferred method of recording from a mixing engineer’s standpoint is one instrument at a time for the
sake of total isolation and control over each track's audio. Sometimes doing it that way just doesn’t
capture the same magic of a live performance. Fortunately, each room at The Hit Factor provides enough
sound isolation to enable a band to get a clean recording while playing live.
Many musicians we've worked with have expressed how comfortable they were recording at The Hit Factor. The studio is a relaxing environment, which is crucial to creativity. And if you need a break, there are plenty of cozy spots to take a breather. We offer coffee, and other refreshments, and there is a Starbucks two blocks away if you need a quick boost.
